Edward
Warren - a teacher with a fine reputation.
Edward Warren was for seven years
Senior Tutor in
Conducting at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester and
Resident Conductor of the Symphony Orchestra there.
In this capacity his principal role was
overseeing the course of the Junior Fellows in Conducting [as well as
offering advice and encouragement to budding young conductors from a
diversity of musical disciplines within the College].
During his period of tenure the track record of the
RNCM Conducting faculty was impressive indeed, most Fellowship students of his
winning a major competition or an associate conductor position
with a leading orchestra.
Such names include:-
Paul Mann, Garry Walker, Baldur Brönnimann, Andre de Ridder,
Andrei Danilov
Stuart Stratford, and Kristofer Wahlander.
